Intel Core 2 Duo and Quad will retire next year

3 years passed, most new processors in the classroom are a Core 2 Q9550. Sandy Bridge Intel prepare next year with an affordable price.

Next year is expected to no longer offer processors Intel Core 2 Quad and Core-based long socket 775.

The reason is simple, prices of new processors from Intel will equal the price of the Celeron. So much cheaper, and computer users can use the new socket LGA 1166. Intel began offering low-cost processors in Q3 2011.
